During Your Session
• You will be asked to fill out a Client Intake Form. The intake form is for recording any medical history, past/present injuries and other physical conditions we should be made aware of. Your therapist will review the intake form with you asking about the reason(s) you are coming for a massage, your current physical condition and any specific areas in which you would like more focused work.
• Your therapist will take you to your treatment room and ask you any questions pertinent to the treatment. She will leave the room and wait while you undress. Some clients prefer to completely undress, while some choose to keep their underpants on. Then, you will get under the top sheet on the massage table. Your therapist will give you a few minutes for this process and will knock on the door to ask if you are ready before entering your room.
• You will always be draped with the top sheet during your massage session and an additional blanket is available at your request. Your massage therapist will only uncover the part of the body they are working on, ensuring that your modesty is respected at all times. There will be relaxing music playing, unless you request otherwise.
• Talking during a session for the purposes of feedback to the therapist regarding pressure, technique, music or room temperature is encouraged. The therapist is there to create a comfortable experience for you. Talking for the sake of continued conversation is counter-productive to a relaxing experience. Your therapist will encourage minimal conversation and you will be glad she did!
• Falling asleep during a session is very common. You should allow yourself to drift as this is a sign your body and mind are letting go. Most people go to a very relaxed place and are still able to communicate if the need arises.

• After your therapist leaves the room, you should feel free to take a few minutes before getting off the table and getting dressed. If you need more time, you are most welcome to sit in the waiting area or on the porch with some tea or water before you leave.
• Drink plenty of water after your treatment to help hydrate your body and flush the toxins that are released during massage.
• Gratuities are accepted, but are never expected. They are a personal choice and giving or not giving one should never deter you from receiving regular massage.
• Make your next appointment before you leave. This ensures that you have another massage to look forward to. Typically, if people leave without re-booking it is months before life "allows" you to reschedule.
